I was browsing Youtube this morning when I suddenly thought of my favourite childhood hero. So I key in the keyword “Space Cop Gaban” in the search field.
Tadaaaaaa
Yeah. I think everyone knows him especially those who were born in the 80’s. He’s better known as.. Space Sheriff Gavan, a Japanese metal hero.. ya right? Fuhh! Even can transform to his metal suit for only 0.05 seconds! Awesome.
Quote:Naga Gaban! Baju Tahan Api! Kereta Perisai Gaban! Hantar ke Planet!Oh.. those were the days… And you? Who was your favourite childhood hero?
Woooot! Just another superb project from Google. They hired Codeweavers to make Photoshop CS and CS2 work better under Wine. A good news I must say for all Linux users as Google & Codeweavers are working hard to improve Wine for Adobe Photoshop in Unix platform. Yah as we know.. There are quite number of people who use “Photoshop” as an excuse not to switch to Linux 100% (including myself) . I still prefer dual-boot because of this single reason.
What is Wine, anyway?
Wine is an Open Source implementation of the Windows API on top of X, OpenGL, and Unix.Think of Wine as a compatibility layer for running Windows programs. Wine provides both a development toolkit for porting Windows source code to Unix as well as a program loader, allowing many unmodified Windows programs to run on x86-based Unixes, including Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, and Solaris.
Thanks Google for this Open Source project! Wooot!
Living a happy, resilient and optimistic life is wonderful, and is also good for your health. Being happy actually protects you from the stresses of life. Stress is linked to top causes of death such as heart disease, cancer and stroke.
One of the better things ever said is - ‘The only thing in life that will always remain the same is change’, and in our life we have the power to make the necessary changes if we want to. Even if we find ourselves in an unbearable situation we can always find solace in the knowledge that it too would change.
Social networks or relationships are essential to happiness. People are different, accept people for who or what they are, avoid clashes, constant arguments, and let go of all kinds of resentments. If arguments seem unavoidable still try and make an effort to understand the situation and you might just get along with well with
Happiness is actually found in everyone, increasing it is a way to make a life more wonderful and also more healthy.
After about 2 weeks of waiting, finally the Ubuntu CD (Gutsy Gibbon 7.10) I requested from their website arrived today! This is the second time i requested Linux CD from Ubuntu. The previous one was Ubuntu 5.04, 2 years ago.
Actually, i have installed the Gutsy Gibbon in my machine using the CD i burned from the iso image i downloaded from their official website early this year. . Aha, now i’m using Ubuntu as the secondary OS, dual boot with my Windows XP.
Why Linux you may ask? It’s for fun, plus I want to experience the power of Linux. Ho Ho! More serious now. I choose Ubuntu as my favourite distro to fulfill the purpose.
Oh ya. I was given 4 Ubuntu stickers together with the CD. Don’t wait. Request yours now.
See what i bought from All IT Hypermarket at Low Yat Plaza last few weeks. Yeah.. a Wireless LAN USB Adapter with Wi-Fi Detector. My new gadget for this year.
A first, i thought wanna buy a basic WLAN USB Adapter but when i saw this PCI brand and its “extra” function (Wi-Fi Detector), I finally change my mind. Why not pay RM89 for that extra features. A D-Link WLAN Dongle costs me around RM75, if i’m not mistaken. Only a bit cheaper, ya?
Additional Info : GW-US54GD uses Zydas ZD1211 chipset.
What’s in the box?
A manual book and warranty card, cd driver, a usb cable and strap.
Na na na..
I’m not going to explain more on the specs, but you can always read it HERE.
Yay! Now i can search for wireless connection using GW-US54GD. Hope i could find as many unsecure connections here in Shah Alam. I wish.
Hmm, just push the button and it will detect the nearest access points, with strength indicator, both secure and unsecure connections. Yes, the device uses built-in rechargeable battery. Plug it into your USB slot to charge.
Oh ya, it supports Linux too. But I haven’t try yet. Maybe in my next post (not a promise).
